At Barney’s Furry Friends, our adoption process is designed to ensure the best possible match for both our dogs and their future families. Below is a step-by-step overview of what to expect.

1. Submit an Adoption Application

When you find a dog you’re interested in, please complete the adoption application on our website.
The more detail you can provide, the better — this helps us determine the best possible match.

2. Phone Interview

If you appear to be a good match for the dog, a member of our team will contact you for a phone interview to discuss your application in more detail.

3. Meet & Greet

You’ll meet the adoptable dog and their foster family. This is an opportunity to get to know the dog and ask any questions.

4. Follow-Up

After the meet & greet, you’ll reconnect with the team member who spoke with you to discuss next steps and how everyone felt the meeting went.

5. Home Check

If you’d like to move forward, we ask that you send us a video tour of your entire home (inside and outside).
