An affectionate playful little love bug who can’t wait to find his forever home. Sammy takes a beat to warm up and may be a bit nervous on first greet but once he feels comfortable he’s your perfect rainy day Netflix couch buddy.

Sammy has been one of our lucky dogs to have sponsored training - he is a very intelligent and capable dog who needs someone who understands a thing or two about proper exposure and calm leadership. He is now fully crate trained with zero separation anxiety or resource guarding behaviours.

He is well potty trained with no accidents and does not have any allergies. He walks wonderfully on leash with perfect manners, and is perfecting his general obedience. We are excited for his person to carry on the skills he’s learned so far. His biggest hurdle is he’s nervous around men to begin with, with time he is capable of warming up. While Sammy arrived very nervous of the world, overall with proper guidance and training he’s proven to be a wonderful, slow/medium energy dog who would happily join you on a leisurely neighbourhood walk.

Sammy presents as sweet and cuddly but also fosters some independence. Once he’s comfortable he can be quite playful and silly. Did we mention he LOVES food?? You’ll quickly win him over with a snack or two.
