Meet Layla, a 3 yo Female, Boxer/ American Bulldog mix

Weight: 58 lbs

Personality: Sweet, gentle, soft-natured, cautious, curious, and incredibly tenacious. Her playful and cuddly side is starting to show! 100% adorable!

Ideal Home: A patient, quiet household in a peaceful neighbourhood where she can enjoy a calm and predictable routine. Apartment living doesn’t bother her – she does however prefer quiet streets/trails for her walks, and would likely enjoy a more quiet social life.

Kids: Untested -Given her soft temperament – kids over 12 will be best suited.

Cats: Untested, open to testing

Dogs: A well-matched dog will be very helpful for her confidence, she could also happily be a solo dog.

Grooming requirement: Standard and has been easy to handle at the vet and for bathing.

She is Crate trained, has good house manners, and has no resource guarding or separation anxiety. Layla has made leaps and bounds in day to day training, But Like every dog, Layla would benefit from continued structure and training. She is low maintenance – loves napping, cautiously exploring and simply enjoys being included in the home environment.

Health: Allergies - possible , she is doing well on a fish diet. She had a CCL surgery end of July so is working on her fitness and is thriving.

Layla came from an incredibly tough starting point, having been found bravely protecting her puppies while living outside on the streets of LA in burnt-down building. Because of this, she is currently cautious of the big outside world and is working hard on building up her confidence. Her leash skills are improving every day. My absolute favourite thing about Layla is her fierce, tenacious but sweet nature, and seeing her confidence and courage grow daily.
