Adoptable Osa

Meet our beautiful Osa!
Osa is a 55lb, (medium/large) 2 year old sweet, shy, goofy and soft dog. She is likely a Catahoula/ pittie mix
Dogs : could be a solo dog or with a well matched dog
Cats: unsure open to testing
Kids: mature children 12 and up (she likes a quiet social life)

In the house, Osa is happy to play with a toy, the resident dog, come in for pets or lay on her bed. She has settled in to her foster home and her training is coming along well. She walks well on a leash, and is learning to be calm around other dogs - she’s doing so well with proper tools and equipment.

Osa is always ready for the next adventure and would make a great running/walking/ trail companion. She does well on car rides. While she loves being active, she quickly calms in the house and can usually be found curled up on her bed or in her crate. She’s also fabulous at bath times and will tolerate getting her nails done - she’ll make you feel guilty for it though
Osa is crate trained and will happily head to her crate when she thinks that it is dinner time. She can be nervous around new people and new things but, once she is comfortable, she is warm and loving. She is such a loyal, sweet companion once she knows you.

Osa has no allergies to report and a clean bill of health.
Osa’s ideal home would be one that will continue with the structure, training and exercise that she is doing so well with as well as a quiet social life. She is currently doing well with the fosters resident dog and has done well with a handful of other dogs. She would do well with a confident adopter who will continue with slow introductions to new dogs and people.

Osa is a catahoula pittie cross, they are wonderfully loyal dogs who are notoriously aloof to strangers, they LOVE their people endlessly, but can’t be bothered with new ones. While warm and sociable with her inner circle, don’t expect her to be so with you right off the bat . Breed research recommended.

If an active, youthful, soft, playful dog who just wants to be in the company of her people and out in nature seems like a good match for you, please apply to adopt Osa on our website.
