Meet Blue – The Little Dog With the Biggest Heart!

Blue’s story started in a place no young dog should be. At just 1 year old, he found himself alone and terrified in a busy shelter. Small, scared, and with a black coat that sadly often gets overlooked, Blue’s chances of making it out weren’t great. Day after day he waited, unsure of the world around him.

But everything changed when we said yes to this sweet boy. Blue climbed aboard the Big Red Bus and made the long journey to Canada, arriving safely on February 21st to start the life he has always deserved.

Now that he’s settling in, Blue’s true personality is shining through — and it’s absolutely adorable.

At 1 years old and just 11 pounds, Blue is the perfect little companion.

 

He’s fun, active, and incredibly affectionate once he feels comfortable. Blue loves getting outside and will happily join you for walks or hikes rain or shine. When he’s home, he’s just as happy digging through his basket of toys, playing, or rolling over for his favorite thing in the world — belly rubs.

Blue is also crate trained and is doing great in foster care. He gets along well with the resident dog and enjoys having a buddy around.

Because of his scary start in life, Blue can be a little shy with new people at first. He just needs a bit of patience and kindness while he learns that he’s safe. Once he trusts you, he becomes a deeply loving and loyal little companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his person.

Blue is looking for a home that will give him the time and love he needs to continue building confidence and enjoying the beautiful life ahead of him.
