Candy is a sweet, affectionate little dog who loves cuddling, napping, and playing fetch with her favourite stuffies. She loves being close to her humans and would thrive with an affectionate owner who enjoys having a little companion by their side.

 

At Home:

Candy is doing well with her house training! She occasionally pees on a pee pad first thing in the morning, but otherwise has no accidents.

 

Crate training is a work in progress. She sleeps in her crate overnight, although she can be resistant to going in. She is gradually becoming more comfortable being left in her crate during the day and is making progress every day.

Candy shows some separation anxiety, so she would do best with someone who can continue building her confidence. A home where she would be left alone for a full 9–5 workday every day would not be the best fit.

 

On Walks

Candy walks nicely on leash and enjoys three walks a day, especially exploring parks and nature areas. She can be a little anxious when people pass by, particularly after dark, and busy main roads can be overwhelming. However, she does not lunge at people or other dogs.

 

Other Animals & Kids

Dogs: Non-reactive but generally uninterested.

Cats: Untested.

Children: Untested.

Candy’s Ideal Home

Candy would love a calm, affectionate home where she can be close to her person and continue building her confidence. She is happiest relaxing, cuddling, and playing with her toys, but also enjoys her daily walks and exploring outdoors.
